We've had the router replaced since then. We have the worst weather imaginable here so it's not surprise to me. In my case the the IP scrambles/changes when the router fucks up (as i found out recently via my provider). Also my " scrambled " IP was a result of me setting up a fixed IP of which i had forgotten about which is funny because i set that fixed Ip to KEEP it from changing IPs.
Banning my IP from logging in for 12+ Hours is a bit extreme just saying. In conclusion Imvu just has a really shitty way of dealing with these attempts. I was able to login from my phone so it's something IMVU did on their end with this computer's IP otherwise i wouldn't have been able to login via my phone. I've recently gone into friends only mode for messages because of this. Also i'm not dumb enough to fall for those shady links/This isn't roblox lol, none the less, IMVU should seriously get ahold of that issue because i get DM'd everyday by these people and it's annoying as hell. I attempted only 4-5 times before i realized caps was on which triggered this so that was my fault for not paying attention. After a long ridiculous wait, I was able to login. No one broke into my account, Imvu just has a really shitty failsafe. That malicious person trying to compromise my account was me.
